Fire Breaks Out In Warehouse in Northwest Miami-Dade

Two dogs were rescued from a massive fire that broke out in a Hialeah warehouse around midday Saturday.

No one was injured during the incident, which occured at NW 36th Avenue and NW 54th Street, officials said. The warehouse was evacuated after flames engulfed the building.

Photos show plumes of thick, black smoke billowing out of the business, which sells wooden pallets. Captain David Rodriguez, who works for the Hialeah Fire Department, said flames started to emerge when one of the pallets caught fire.

Crews from Hialeah, Miami-Dade and Miami fire departments responded to the scene, Rodriguez said. The fire is now under control.
