Mount Sinai Medical Center welcomed the first 2019 baby to Miami Beach when Luna was born at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday, weighing in at 7 lbs. 12 oz. – while Hialeah Hospital greeted a baby girl named Nathaly at 9:15 a.m., as the daughter of Javier Gonzalez and Enelida Vargas weighed in at five pounds.

In Broward, baby boy Matthew was born just before 2 a.m. at the children’s hospital at Broward Health Medical Center. The son of Jennifer Zuluaga weighed in at 8 lbs. 2 oz.
