Five Injured in Violent Miami-Dade Crime Spree

The Hialeah Police Department said five people, most of them women, were injured by men on a robbery spree that left one victim shot.

At least one person was in custody in connection to the Friday incidents. Police said the women were "terrified."

A 57-year-old man was being treated in Jackson Memorial Hospital after he said he was shot and beaten by the suspects.

Police said the man was shot in the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest North River Drive.

The suspects drove in a getaway car that ended up crashing near Northwest 23rd Court and 48th Street.

A witness told NBC 6 that one of the suspects struck his friend in the head with a gun.
