Fla. Rep Says Testing Firm Will Make Kids As “Homosexual” As Possible

A Florida state representative said the group selected to produce a new test to replace the FCAT as part of the Common Core curriculum will “attract every one of your children to become as homosexual as they possibly can.”

"These people that will now receive $220 million from the state of Florida unless this is stopped will promote double mindedness in state education, and attract every one of your children to become as homosexual as they possibly can," said Rep. Charles Van Zant said of the American Institutes for Research.

The comment came from Van Zant at an anti-Common Core event in March and was first reported by the website Think Progress, which also posted video of the representative’s comments.
