A Florida university is making plans for make-up dates for students whose graduation ceremony was canceled by what officials called a "credible threat."
Florida Atlantic University announced the cancellation shortly before Tuesday afternoon ceremony was to begin. Officials said a staff member found a threatening note in the women's bathroom. Everyone was asked to leave the school's auditorium.
School spokesman Joshua Glanzer said in an email sent Wednesday that out-of-state and international students are invited to a special ceremony this week. All other students are invited to a rescheduled commencement next week. The times haven't been announced.
Anyone who can't make those dates can participate in a December ceremony.
Students affected by the rescheduling will be recognized at the Sept. 8 football game against Air Force.
