A man has been charged in the death of his wife after her body was found in a house fire in Palm Beach Gardens.
Local news outlets report police say 50-year-old David Arthur was arrested Tuesday. He faces charges of first-degree arson and first-degree murder in the death of 57-year-old Kathleen Dunleavy.
Officials say Dunleavy's body was found April 12 after a blaze at the couple's apartment.
Police say an investigation showed that Dunleavy had been beaten and that the fire was set in the back of the residence in an attempt to hide the crime.
Arthur was identified as a suspect. It isn't immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
