Court officials say a Florida man charged with burglary defecated during a criminal trial and tried to throw his feces at the judge.
The Miami Herald reports 33-year-old Dorleans Philidor was sitting in a wheelchair next to Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Lisa Walsh when officials say he tried to throw his excrement at her.
It did not reach her. People ran out of the courtroom prior to closing arguments, which were delayed.
The Miami Herald reports Philidor yelled "It's protein! It's good for you!" during the incident, according to witnesses.
Jurors, who weren't present, subsequently acquitted the man on the burglary charge.
It is not yet clear if Philidor will face additional charges for the incident. He remains jailed on a grand-theft auto case.
