Florida Panthers Unveil 2019-20 Regular Season Schedule

  • Under new head coach Joel Quenneville, the Panthers will be looking for make it back to the postseason for the first time since 2015-16.

Fresh off a 2018-19 season in which they found themselves in a fight for a spot in the playoffs, the Florida Panthers will start and end their upcoming season in the Sunshine State.

The NHL announced the regular season schedule for all teams on Tuesday, and the Panthers will start their 26th season of play on October 3rd when they travel to face the Tampa Bay Lightning. Two days later, the teams meet in Sunrise for the home opener of the 2019-20 season with faceoff set for 7 p.m.

The complete schedule can be found here, but selected highlights at home include:

- Florida will host Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 22nd as well as the New York Rangers on two occasions (November 16th and March 30th) along with the Detroit Red Wings on November 2nd and the Chicago Blackhawks on February 29th.

- The Panthers will host the defending Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues on March 21st as well as they team they beat, the Boston Bruins, on two occasions (December 14th and March 5th)

- Florida will play 16 out of 20 games at home between November 14th and December 29th and finish the year with three straight games at home, including their regular season finale on April 4th against the Washington Capitals.

Under new head coach Joel Quenneville, the Panthers will be looking for make it back to the postseason for the first time since the 2015-16 season when they lost in the first round to the New York Islanders – just their fifth appearance in the playoffs since their inaugural season in 1993-94.
