Florida Ranks Low in Best States to Raise Family: Study

If you're considering starting a family in Florida, a new study may have you thinking twice.

The recent Wallethub study ranks Florida 32 out of 50 in states to raise a family.

The Sunshine State scored poorly in areas like affordable housing and divorce rate. Only New York, California and Hawaii ranked lower for affordable housing, and Florida was only behind Louisiana and Nevada for highest divorce rate.

The state did score well in one area: family fun.

Coming in as the best place to raise a family is Massachusetts; the worst was New Mexico.
