Florida Woman Arrested After Leading Cops on High Speed Chase, Crashing Into Patrol Car

A Manatee County attorney is facing charges after leading officers on a high-speed chase and crashing into a police cruiser head-on while in North Florida.

The Pensacola News Journal reports that 35-year-old Terra Carroll has been arrested on charges including fleeing law enforcement officers at high speed driving under the influence.

According to an arrest report, the incident began Saturday after a Santa Rosa Sheriff deputy attempted to pull over Carroll, who was driving erratically. She continued driving and a pursuit ensued.

The 11-mile chase ended after Carroll's car collided head-on with a Gulf Breeze police vehicle. An officer then ordered Carroll to exit the car, but she refused to comply. Officials eventually removed her from the car arrested her.

Carroll, who lives outside of Sarasota and works as a lawyer in the area, was booked at Santa Rosa County Jail.
