A Florida woman is facing DUI and drug possession charges after she was involved in a crash just two days after she was released from a detox facility, authorities said.

Briana Mary Donaghy, 19, was arrested early Sunday on one count of DUI, five counts of DUI property damage/personal injury and one count of marijuana possession, according to a Florida Highway Patrol arrest report obtained by the Naples Daily News.

Donaghy rear-ended a Dodge Charger while driving her Mercedes, sending both cars into some shrubbery on the shoulder of a road in Marco Island, the report said.

Donaghy told troopers she had been texting at the time of the crash, and had been released from a detox facility on Friday and was hanging out with friends she met in rehab, the report said.

Donaghy and a passenger in her car were both hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The couple in the Dodge, who were visiting from Wisconsin, were also treated at the hospital.

Troopers visited Donaghy at the hospital and said she had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech and seemed confused, the report said.

Donaghy was arrested and as she was being taken to jail, she pulled a baggie of marijuana from her underwear and gave it to the troopers, the report said.

Records showed Donaghy was being held on $14,000 bond Wednesday. It was unknown whether she has an attorney.
