Woman became angry after seeing husband with ex-girlfriend: Deputies.

A Florida woman was arrested after she hit her husband with a car and chased him with a baseball bat after spotting him with his ex-girlfriend, authorities said.

Tara Johnson, 41, is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery in the Wednesday morning incident, according to an Alachua County Sheriff's Office report obtained by the Gainesville Sun.

According to the report, Johnson drove to her husband's workplace around 6:30 a.m. to question why he hadn't returned home when she saw him get out of his ex-girlfriend's car.

Johnson told deputies she became angry and drove forward, blocking the exit of the ex-girlfriend, the report said. As Johnson and her husband were arguing, she drove forward, bumping her husband into the air and knocking him to the ground, the report said.

She grabbed a baseball bat and chased the husband around the car with it, then got back in the car and left the scene, the report said.

The husband suffered hip pain and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Johnson was later arrested at her home.

The report said the couple has been married three years.
