Food and Music Festival Held to Raise Money for Parkland Victims

A fundraiser was held in Parkland Sunday, bringing together student survivors and their families, along with dozens of acclaimed chefs and life performers. It’s the first “Actions for Change Food and Music Festival.”

It’s an evening of food, music and art to bring the Parkland community together at Pine Trails Park.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Shine MSD and Change the Ref, two organizations created after the tragic February 14th shooting.

Both groups are working to ensure the student’s voices continue to be heard.

All guests enjoyed sweet and savory bites from chefs from around the world, while enjoying live musical performances.

The father of Parkland victim Joaquin Oliver did a live painting demonstration called the “Wall of Demand.”

Three thousand people were expected to be in attendance.
