Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop Drive-In Features “The Interview”

Moviegoers in South Florida lined up Thursday to watch "The Interview" at Fort Lauderdale's Swap Shop Drive-In movie theater in Fort Lauderdale.

Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed Tuesday that the film will have a limited theatrical release across the United States beginning Thursday.

Sony announced last week it had called off the scheduled Christmas release of the North Korea satire which depicts the assassination of dictator Kim Jong Un following hacker threats of violence against theaters showing the film.

A group of writers including Salman Rushdie, Neil Gaiman and Tony Kushner, meanwhile, signed a PEN American Center petition urging Sony Pictures to make "The Interview" widely available.

The film will be shown at 7 p.m., 9 p.m., and 11 p.m. on Dec. 25 at the Swap Shop.  For more information, click here.
