Four Accused of Burglarizing Key Largo Boat

Authorities found two GPS systems, a flat-screen TV and other electronics

Four people were arrested Christmas morning for burglarizing a boat in Key Largo, teh Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities were alerted to the crime when a man called them at 2:45 a.m. to report someone on his boat, which was docked behind his house.

Deputies say they found Victor Matias, 26, and Terrance McCray, 21 inside. The men had screwdrivers to remove electronic devices and backpacks, according to deputies.

The same man who called the police also alerted authorities to a strange car parked in a vacant lot.

Police approached the car and found two women, Nadiege Andre, 25, and Jackqlin McCray, 18 inside.

The women admitted to police that they were with the men who were burglarizing the boat, and were aware of what the men were doing, the sheriff's office said. One of the women told police that she had been to the Keys before to steal things with her boyfriend, police said.

Authorities said they found two GPS systems, a flat-screen TV and other electronics inside the car. The victim identified one of the GPS systems as his own.

The men face burglary and criminal mischief charges and the women face two counts of accessory after the fact to those crimes.
