4 Families Without a Home After Fire at Miami Apartment Building

Four families are in need of home Saturday after a fire broke out inside their apartment building.

Just before 1:30 p.m., rescue crews rushed to fire at inside a three-story apartment building located at 1232 NW 1st Place, according to Miami Fire Captain Ignatius Carroll.

Initial reports suggested people were trapped inside the building, but fire crews conducted a thorough search and found no one inside or injured.

Carrol says the Red Cross is currently with the displacement of the four families.

The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes and the cause is under investigation.
