Four Injured in Stadium Accident

Super Bowl volunteers hurt in stage collapse at Sun Life

Four people are recovering this morning after a stage collapsed at Sun Life Stadium during Super Bowl preparations last night.

The incident happened shortly before 9 p.m. as volunteers were setting up for a rehearsal for the Halftime show.

That's when a piece of a portable stage set up in the parking lot apparently tipped over.

Two of the injured were taken by helicopter to Ryder Trauma Center, though none of the injuries are life threatening, police said.

Crews are working this morning to fix any other structural issues before Sunday's big game.

The halftime show will be performed by British rockers the Who.
