    Four People Injured in Liberty City Shooting

    Four people are recovering after being shot in Liberty City. For NBC 6, Nathalia Ortiz explains.

    What to Know

    • Four people were shot in Liberty City on Saturday evening.

    • The victims range from ages 14-20.

    • The victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.

    Four people were taken to the hospital after being shot Saturday evening in Liberty City.

    The incident happened a little after 6:15 p.m. Officials told NBC 6 the victims were 13, 16, 19 and 20 years-old.

    Officials confirmed that the young men experienced non-life threatening injuries. Three of the victims hurt their arms. One victim’s leg was injured during the shooting in the Liberty City area.

    They are being treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

    Police said that when they arrived to the scene near Northwest 14th Avenue and 62nd Street, they noticed a house in the area had also been struck by gunfire. 

    Fortunately, officials confirmed that no one inside the home was hurt.

    Police are urging witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
