A trivia phone app is giving people with student loan debt the opportunity to decrease their financial struggles.
The Givling app, available on the Android and Apple operating systems, crowdfunds the payoff of student loans.
"Givling is for everybody. Sign up for an account on Givling to get your Queue number. If you are chosen, we can fund your student loan up to $50,000 or your mortgage up to $25,000. You can also give or sell your Queue spot to another person," Givling explains on its website.
People who try to app can play for free twice a day. Each time you play, you join a random funding team and you answer true or false statements until you fail. The more correct answers, the higher your score and the higher your chance of easing your student loan debt.
Michael Morris is a local example of who can benefit. He received a $50,000 check from Givling.
"I downloaded the app out of curiosity. Actually because it is ... a crowdsource app it has a very good goal of eliminating student debt in the country," Morris said.
Morris was paying about $424 a month on a $37,000 balance prior to Givling's check.

"It pays off the totality of my student debt. You know, there's plenty of people who $50,000 would only be half of their student debt," Morris added.
Givling has paid out nearly $700,000 since it began helping tackle student loan debt.
