The 40-year-old Greco was driving eastbound along I-75 around 5 a.m. after finishing his shift when his Dodge Charger was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic traveling west near U.S. 27. He was airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center where he later passed away.

The driver of the other car involved, 32-year-old Curtis Woolwine of Hollywood, died at the scene. Investigators are awaiting toxicology results in the case.

Greco joined the department less than one year ago.
