Florida lawmakers are about to begin their 2016 session and are hoping to avoid the chaos of 2015, when the House and Senate had a hard time agreeing on anything.
House Speaker Steve Crisafulli and Senate President Andy Gardiner say they'll put last year behind them when the session opens Tuesday and hope the Republican-led chambers work more cooperatively together.
Some of the first issues to be addressed will be issues that failed last year, like a massive water protection plan and bills aimed at helping the developmentally disabled.
Lawmakers will also consider expanding gun rights, approving a gambling agreement between Gov. Rick Scott and the Seminole Tribe, tax cuts and regulating fracking, a form of oil and gas drilling opponents say would put groundwater at risk.
