Gas Prices Continue Slight Drop in South Florida This Week

  • Prices dropped nearly one cent, down to $2.59 a gallon, a number that is still around six cents above the national average

Drivers in South Florida continue to see a slight drop in the price for a gallon of gas – but the area still remains higher than the national average.

Prices over the last week dropped nearly one cent, down to $2.59 a gallon. That number is still around six cents above the national average of $2.53, which actually increased one cent from last week.

The good news for motorists is that the price continues to drop, down over six cents from this point last month while the national average is down more than eight cents from one month ago.

In Miami-Dade, the cheapest gas is at the Valero station on Flagler Street and 18th Avenue, where you will pay $2.47 for a gallon. In Broward, you can find gas for $2.45 a gallon at the Speedway station located at 1600 S. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.
