Get Credit Healthy in Just a Few Weeks

South Florida man ups credit score with new card

Ceasar Espanol wanted to do his best for his new wife Nicole but he was haunted by his past.

For the South Florida resident, there were times where he couldn't afford to pay his monthly bills.

Espanol, a UPS driver now, has a good job, but those missed payments before prevented him from getting any credit, no credit cards, no loans.

"I couldn't pay for my credit cards and just stopped paying for everything at once," said Espanol.

Thousands across South Florida are now in the same boat as Espanol, due to foreclosures, short sales, and the loss of jobs.

Espanol turned to credit expert Elizabeth Karwowski and her firm, Get Credit Healthy.

"Credit is really a formula. To be able to get credit healthy, you need to understand the formula," said Karwowski.

She said Espanol's credit score was down in the low 500's but she was still able to get him a credit card without a credit check.

"It wasn't really too hard to get the credit card. You go online, fill out the information, they call you back to confirm everything and within two weeks, I got the card in the mail. It was simple," explained Espanol.

Karwowski said the card can be used to shop anywhere and can be obtained with a credit limit between $300 and $2,000.

You do have to put money up in advance: the amount you want your credit limit to be.

"They do not pull your credit and it's 100 percent approval guaranteed," said Karwowski. "A secured credit card is where you have to put your own funds to secure that account. With a secured card although you are putting your own funds and the benefit is that you are rebuilding."

Espanol got his credit score up more than 120 points and was actually able to get a loan for a new home for his new wife.

"Never did I think it was going to happen due to my credit history. And in a week or so they were able to get me credit." Espanol said.

Karwowski says most people use their services less than five months. She says this card is open to anyone no matter what your score.
