Girl Found Wandering in North Miami Reunited With Parents

A little girl found wandering overnight in North Miami has been reunited with her parents after she was spotted wandering alone overnight Tuesday.

According to police, the girl has down syndrome and crawled out of a window in her home just before 4 a.m. to go for a walk.

Drivers spotted the girl in the area near Northeast 125th Street and Sixth Court and called police. Her parents also called police after they woke up Tuesday morning and did not see their daughter in her bed.

Thankfully, when they called police, they were informed that their daughter was already at the station. The parents came to the station and were reunited with the girl and have since gone home.

Police say there are no signs of abuse or neglect on the girl. No one is being charged at this time.

The Division of Children and Families is investigating.
