Gun Fired During Fight at Pembroke Lakes Mall's Sears Store

A gun was fired Friday afternoon at the Sears in Pembroke Lakes Mall following a fight, police said.

According to police, Andrew Chin and Shanease Clarke were shopping at Sears. Joel Bailey was also shopping at the store, while carrying a 1-year-old on his hip. The three began to argue, police said.

Bailey was also carrying a gun legally in a holster.

Within moments, the argument became physical. Police said Chin and Bailey began to fight for possession of the gun. They fell to the floor, at which point, one shot was fired from the gun.

No one was seriously injured. It’s unclear what happened to the 1-year-old.

Chin is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. Clarke is being charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Bailey is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct and child abuse.
