Haiti's Miracle Baby Reunited With Parents in Miami

Folks flying to Miami to rejoin youngster found in Port-au-Prince rubble

It's been nearly three months since a young Haitian baby was separated from her parents in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, but today they'll become a family again.

The infant known as Baby Jean or Baby Jenny will reunite with parents Junior Alexis and Nadine Devilme at the His House Children's Home in Miami Gardens.

The reunion will be the first time Alexis and Devilme have seen Baby Jenny since the Jan. 12 earthquake that reduced the family's hometown of Port-au-Prince to rubble.

Baby Jenny, at just two months old, was found buried under the rubble, covered in dust and maggots and clinging to life a day after quake hit. She was taken in by UM doctors and flown to Miami, where she was quickly nursed to health by doctors at Jackson Memorial Hospital and dubbed "Haiti's Miracle Baby."

Thought to be an orphan, Jenny has remained in South Florida until parents Alexis and Devilme came forward.

A DNA test concluded last month confirmed Jenny belonged to Alexis and Devilme.

The Florida Department of Children and Families has been caring for Baby Jenny, who has been at His House since she was put in foster care shortly after the quake.

On Tuesday, the entire family will make a public appearance to thank the medical team that saved her life.
