Hanging out took on a new meaning for two painters who were left dangling from a high rise Wednesday after the scaffold they were standing on collapsed.
The two men were painting the outside of the Sea Monarch Condominiums located at 111 N. Ocean Boulevard in Pompano beach when the scaffold broke.
The men were 14 stories up when they experienced their worst nightmare. The painters' safety harnesses were the only thing that saved them from a potentially deadly fall.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue pulled the men through a window on the 14th floor. No one was injured in the incident.
