Hazmat units were called to a messy situation in Southwest Miami-Dade Thursday morning.
Crews were called to clean up waste that covered SW 84th Avenue between 120th Street and 124th Street around 8:30 AM. Officials believe it was medical waste from a dental office, but do not know which one the waste came from.
Officials with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said that none of the waste contained blood on it and the scene has been cleared.
"I'm surprised, I'm very in shock, this is a nice neighborhood and decent," witness Janette Marquez said. "I am just very very surprised with what I am seeing right now, all these needles everywhere."
