Hazmat Situation Sends Three People to the Hospital

    Rescue crews were called to an office park in Weston after haze was reported there, and it sent three people to the hospital.

    Several people were taken to the hospital following a possible hazmat situation in Weston.

    The incident happened Wednesday night at ANDA, a medication distribution depot. It’s located at the 2900 block of Weston Road.

    According to Broward Sheriff’s Officials, there were 60 people inside the business when a haze appeared inside the business. Three people were taken to the hospital after they complained of chest pain and shortness of breath.

    Twelve people were treated, nine of which refused to be taken to the hospital.

    It’s unclear at this point what caused the haze.
