Heat Beat Kings in Overtime

The Heat picked up their first home win of the season with a 108-96 overtime victory over the Kings

The Heat used overtime to beat the Sacramento Kings by a final score of 108-96 on Tuesday.

The win was the first for the Heat in Miami this season and improved the team's record to 2-2. Miami is 1-2 at home and will now go on the road for a pair of games.

For Dion Waiters, this was his best game in a Heat jersey thus far. The veteran poured in 20 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists. Waiters also picked up a pair of blocks and a steal in an all-around big game. With Josh Richardson injured, Waiters has remained in Miami's starting lineup. Play like this could keep Waiters in the role for longer than intended.

Dragic has been consistently productive for Miami this year and that continued in this win. The guard helped offensively and defensively just like Waiters. Dragic had 25 points, eight rebounds and eight assists along with two steals and two more blocks.

Tyler Johnson was big off Miami's bench with 22 points in his 32 minutes. The guard also contributed four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks.

Hassan Whiteside ran into foul trouble again, which limited his usage and production somewhat. The center would pad his numbers as the game neared its conclusion however. Whiteside finished up with 14 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.

The Heat will take a couple of days off before traveling to Toronto on Friday for a game against the Raptors.
