Heat Fans Share Superstitions Before Game 5

“I pretty much stay fixated the whole game. Don’t wanna move, don’t wanna move,” Travis Ramsey says

From sitting in the same spot to wearing the same T-shirt, Miami Heat fans can be a superstitious lot.

“I pretty much stay fixated the whole game. Don’t wanna move, don’t wanna move,” Travis Ramsey said. “We’ve got to get all the free throws tonight, so if I move, I think it’s my fault.”

In the lead-up to Game 5, the Heat’s biggest game of the year, fans shared the rituals they follow that they believe fuel the team to win.

“If we get on a winning streak or whatever, you wear the same stuff,” Neil Stucki said.

For Chris Dally, a certain shirt is key.

“There's this one shirt I wear, it's not a Heat shirt either, it's just a red and black shirt. But I wear it most of the time to watch a game,” he said, laughing.

Some Heat boosters really take one for the team by putting their look on the line.

Eddy Martinez confessed that at one point, he tried not shaving, but that didn’t work out well.

“As soon as I shaved and showered, they started winning,” he said. “So I was like, keep the tradition going. Take a shower every day and shave.”
