The National Hurricane Center in Miami has released the names that will be used for storms in 2019.
There are 21 names on the list, which is kept in rotation and will be used again in 2025. Since 1953, Atlantic tropical storms had been named from lists originated by the National Hurricane Center. They are now maintained and updated through a strict procedure by an international committee of the World Meteorological Organization.
The Atlantic hurricane season officially begins on June 1 and ends on November 30.
