Man Robbed By Woman Impostor

A blind date goes horribly wrong for one man

The last thought on Jasper Morland's mind was that he would be robbed on a date. He probably never thought he would be a on date with a man pretending to be a woman either, but he was wrong on both counts.

On Monday, Morland, 28, decided to meet with a woman he met online. They met at Super 8 Motel located in the 2300 block of N.E. 10th Street in Pompano Beach.

Shortly after they met, they heard a knock on the door. The woman opened the door and an armed man walked in demanding money from Morland. The robber took his belongings and handed them to the woman.

Morland realized his date was in on the plan all along. As he ran out the door, a surveillance camera captured him struggling with the robber before he broke free and fled the scene.

Morland realized afterward that the woman he agreed to meet in a hotel room was actually a man. Yasmick Jeune, 21, was arrested and is facing armed robbery charges. The other perpetrator is still on the loose. He is described as a male with long dreadlocks.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call BSO Robbery Det. Tony Hierrezuelo at (954) 321-4270 or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS.
