Masked Burglars Wheel Away Stolen Liquor in Hialeah

Two people are at large while three others are behind bars after they allegedly broke into a liquor store early Monday in Hialeah.

Surveillance videos show the masked thieves attempt to break in at the family-owned Barbarita Liquors on East 41st Street and 4th Avenue at around 6 a.m.

They repeatedly pound on an impact-resistant window with what appears to be a sledgehammer. They are then seen pushing the entire window frame in and climbing inside.

The thieves are then seen on video wheeling out some of the stolen goods, which the owner said included nearly $1,000 worth of liquor and almost $250 in cash.

The owner, Raul Rodriguez, said the items were seized and returned to him quickly.

Hialeah police arrived at the scene minutes later, blocked off the surrounding area and caught three suspects. David Lee Russell, 23; Dilbert Ross, 26; and a teenage male who will not be identified because he is a minor, were arrested and face charges of burglary, police said.

Authorities are still looking for two people who are still on the loose.
