Hialeah Road Rage Ends With Siblings Arrested, Dad Accidentally Shot

Brother, sister, father all facing charges after road rage incident, police say

A road rage incident in South Florida ended with a brother and sister behind bars and their father in the hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the foot, police said.

Anailyn Rivera Neyra, 29, brother Jonh Lazaro Neyra, 18, and father Juan Camero Neyra, 52, are all facing charges in the Wednesday evening incident, according to police reports.

According to the reports, Anailyn Neyra was involved in a road rage incident with the victim on Okeechobee Road in Hialeah. The victim left the scene in his Nissan Altima and was followed by Neyra and her brother in a white Range Rover, the reports said.

The brother and sister followed the victim to the area of West 11th Court and West 27th Street. Once there, they reached into the victim's vehicle and struck the victim, causing a laceration to the victim's mouth and several scratches to the victim's chest, the reports said.

Juan Neyra also followed the Altima and when he arrived at the scene, he got out of his car carrying a firearm, the reports said. The gun accidentally went off, shooting hitting Juan Neyra in the right foot, the reports said.

Anailyn Neyra told officers the victim struck her with the Altima during the road rage incident, and said she called 911 while following the victim, the reports said. Jonh Neyra told officers the victim struck his mother with the Altima, the reports said.

Juan Neyra was taken to Palmetto Hospital for treatment for his gunshot wound. Court records showed he's facing an aggravated assault with a firearm charge.

Anailyn and Jonh Neyra were both charged with burglary with assault or battery. Attorney information wasn't available.
