More than 300 poets and almost 600 poetic performances were done over the past month. This weekend, the fifth Louder Than a Bomb Florida festival will come to an end.
On Friday, the Indy Finals will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Nova Southeastern University. The event will feature the top 12 scoring poets of the entire festival. They will compete to be named the Louder Than a Bomb Florida 2019’s top individual poet.
The team finals will be held on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The final four teams will battle it out for the championship title. The teams competing come from: Charles W. Flanagan High School, Cypress Bay High School, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and Miami Norland Senior High School.
The annual festival supports the Jason Taylor Foundation, which provides support to programs and services which benefit youth.
