A homeless St. Petersburg man is being held on bond after throwing a piece of concrete at a hotel window, claiming he was being chased by zombies.

David Allen Jensen, 41, threw a doughnut-shaped piece of concrete, used to protect a sprinkler head, at a Hilton Hotel window early Wednesday morning, according to St. Petersburg police.

Authorities said Jensen admitted to breaking the glass and trying to get into the hotel because he was being chased by zombies.

The front desk attendant who was at the hotel at the time of the incident told police it sounded like several gunshots went off as Jensen attempted to break the glass.

Jensen is charged with burglary, throwing a deadly missile at a building and possession of burglary tools. He is being held at the Pinellas county jail on a $15,000 bond.
