Broward Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the death of a homeless man whose body was found lying on the ground near a vacant building near Ft. Lauderdale.
The incident happened Saturday night. A passerby found the body on the ground at the 1900 block of South State Road 7.
The passerby called 911 and believed the man needed medical assistance. Once Broward Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, they realized the man had been beaten to death.
Detectives say the victim is a homeless man, who was identified as Youssef Hamraoui, 46.
Anyone with information is asked to call BSO Detectives at 954-321-4200. Tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward.
