Humidity to Hang Over South Florida For Much of Week

Parts of South Florida got drenched Monday

The unusual weather disturbance near the western tip of Cuba never did develop into a tropical or subtropical storm, thanks in good part to the jet  stream which kept unfavorable conditions over the system.

However parts of South Florida got drenched, which over 4 inches of rain in Key West, 2 inches at Key Largo, and 1 inch in Miami Lakes.

The remnants of this disturbance will slide off to the east into the Atlantic, but humid conditions will remain over South Florida much of the week.

While rain chances will decrease Tuesday and especially Wednesday, there’s a chance that active weather will return towards the end of the week.

That’s  when a new low pressure system from the Gulf of Mexico is scheduled to approach Florida. It appears the best chance of rain might be Friday into Saturday.
