Husband Shot Wife to Death in Miami Gardens Home: Police

A husband was arrested after police say he shot and killed his wife in their Miami Gardens home early Tuesday.

The shooting happened at a home in the 16000 block of Northwest 22nd Avenue, Miami Gardens Police said.

Police said the woman, identified by family members as Tamesha Phaarr, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, Artie Phaarr, was taken into custody down the block.

It appears several children were in the home when the shooting happened, police said. It appears the incident began with an argument that quickly escalated, officials said.

Phaarr will be charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, officials said.
