Florida Minimum Wage To Increase On Jan. 1, 2019

According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the minimum wage will rise to $8.46 per hour on Jan. 1, 2019. That’s a 21 cent increase from the previous minimum wage of $8.25. It’s the biggest minimum wage increase since 2012, officials said. Click here for the full story.

The increase marks the biggest change in minimum wage since it rose by 36 cents in 2012.

Man Clumsily Drops TV As He’s Trying to Steal It From a Walmart

A man was arrested in Davie after he clumsily dropped a flat screen TV as he was trying to steal it from a Walmart. He walked out of the store with the TV, jumped on a motorcycle that was waiting for him and that’s when he dropped it. Click here for the full surveillance video.

A man was caught on surveillance camera stealing a TV from Walmart and attempting to flee the scene on a scooter. While trying to get away, the alleged thief dropped the TV on the ground and clumsily picked it up. Police have since arrested the suspect.
