A family is thanking those who helped get their beloved family pet back after thieves broke into their Miami home and stole $10,000 worth of items, including the beloved Yorkie.

It happened at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area off SW 17th Avenue and 14th Terrace. Vanessa Beltran said the thieves were at the house for about half an hour and ransacked the house, stealing a laptop, two TVs, two tablets, a gaming system and some jewelry.

But the most important thing they stole was the family's 9-year-old Yorkie named Shubi.

"She was having dehydration issues, if she’s not hydrated right now, who knows what’s happening," Beltran said. "So it’s crucial, crucial that we get her back."

On Friday, the family said Shubi had been found. The family was offering a $500 reward for her return.
