James Taylor Visiting Obama Campaign Office in Hollywood Friday Night

The campaign said he would play a short set

Singer-songwriter James Taylor is due to visit President Barack Obama’s campaign office in Hollywood Friday night and share his reasons for supporting the Democratic incumbent in the November election, Obama for America said.

The longtime Obama supporter will thank volunteers and supporters for their hard work and dedication to the re-election campaign and then play a short set, according to Obama for America.

The Grammy-winning musician performed at Obama’s inauguration in 2009, and the president awarded him the National Medal of Arts at the White House in 2011.

Taylor also performed for Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel at a state dinner in the Rose Garden.

Taylor, who has won five Grammys, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
