Police have begun a death investigation into the disappearance of a Sunrise woman who vanished last month, officials said Wednesday.
Detectives now believe 50-year-old Jeneen Catanzaro, who was last seen at her home on Nov. 28, is deceased, Sunrise Police said in a statement.
After Catanzaro had been missing for a week, officials said it was unusual for her to be out of contact for that amount of time.
"This is an active investigation and once more information is available to be released, we will provide it," police said in a statement.
