Jewelry Store Thieves Take $1M, Threaten Baby

Gun pointed at infant during Hollywood heist: Police

Police are looking for a trio of armed thieves who terrorized customers and threatened to kill an infant at a Hollywood jewelry store before making off with over $1 million in loot Tuesday morning.

The incident happened just after 11 a.m. at the Koosh Jewelers at 2790 Stirling Road, Hollywood Police said.

Three men entered the store and forced employees and customers to the floor at gunpoint, police said. One of the men made an employee open a safe as the others collected merchandise from store display cases.

Police say the group terrorized employees and customers, and one of them even pointed his weapon at an infant in a stroller and threatened to kill the child if their demands weren't met.

The men made off with over $1 million in U.S. currency and jewelry.

Police describe the suspects as black males in their 20s, one 5-foot-10 who wore a tan Dickies uniform, another 6-foot-0 who wore tan pants and a black long sleeve undershirt, and the third 6-foot-2 who wore a grey Dickies uniform and a Kangol hat.

The three were seen leaving in a black newer model SUV. Anyone with information to call Hollywood Police at 954-967-HELP or Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
