Jim Kelly Finishes Chemotherapy

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly has finished his final round of chemotherapy in his ongoing fight against cancer, according to a post from his wife Jill on Instagram.

Kelly, who played his college ball at the University of Miami, has been fighting a recurrence of sinus cancer and finished his first round of chemotherapy lkast month. His final round finished Tuesday and now he will move forward with four rounds of radiation therapy to complete the regimen created by doctors to fight the disease.

The early part of Kelly’s treatments was performed at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. The final four radiation treatments will be performed at ECMC in Buffalo, New York.

Kelly said in a video message posted earlier in May to “Keep those prayers coming. I sure need them. Without you I wouldn’t be able to get through this. God bless you.”
