‘Justice for Jada' Anti-Gun Violence Rally in Miami

An anti-gun violence rally will be held Monday for an 8-year-old girl who was fatally shot during a drive-by shooting outside a northwest Miami-Dade home last week.

The rally is set to begin at 3 p.m. Monday and will be held at 9485 NW 17th Ave in Miami, according to the Facebook page.

Event organizers are anticipating 1,000 participants to "join the fight for justice and freedom for our youth."

The event comes following the death Jada Page, who fell victim to the gun violence on in late August, when police say two men pulled up in a black Ford and started shooting. Jada was brain dead and remained on life support until she succumbed to her injuries.

Jada's father, 32-year old James Page, was also shot multiple times.

"We will not stand silent and allow criminals and thugs to terrorize our communities," event organizers say.
