Former 'N Sync member Lance Bass will serve as an ambassador at a mass wedding ceremony for 100 LGBT and straight couples on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
The sunrise ceremony, hosted by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and dubbed "Love is Love," will take place Feb. 5.
It will be presided over by Reverend Dr. Durrell Watkins, senior minister of the Sunshine Cathedral.
"Lance shares the same pioneering spirit of advocating for LGBT equality that we embody here in Greater Fort Lauderdale," Nicki Grossman, president and CEO of the Visitors Bureau, said in a statement. "We're thrilled to have him be part of our historic moment on the same day he shares his own personal wedding with the world."
Bass, who married his husband on Dec. 20, will celebrate the day with couples from across the nation and from as far away as London, Italy and South America.
