A large brush fire was burning hundreds of acres in Broward County Friday.
About 800 acres have been burned in an area about two miles north of Interstate 75 near Alligator Alley, Florida Forest Service officials said.
Cautionary smoke signs have been placed on parts of Alligator Alley as a result, and if the wind stays the same, the smoke shouldn't affect visibility on I-75, officials said.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
