    Man and Child Shot After Altercation in Lauderhill

    A child was caught in the crossfire after two adults got into an altercation at an apartment complex in Lauderhill. NBC 6's Jamie Guirola reports.

    A man and a 5-year-old are in serious condition after a shooting Wednesday at an apartment building in Lauderhill, police said.

    Officials reponded before 7 p.m. to the 3100 block of NW 19th Street, at the Lauderhill Pointe Apartments.

    The shooting happened after the male victim and the shooter got into an altercation, police said. The child was nearby

    The child and the male victim were not related.

    The victims were taken to Broward Health, fire officials said. They were responsive but in serious condition.

    The shooter is at large, police said. He was only described as an adult male.
